REGISTER SHEEP OUT OF REGISTERED PARENTS (UHHSA, INC or another
recognized registry) - not for Solid Colored Painted Desert Sheep:

1. Ensure you are a member in good standing of the UHHSA, Inc division in which you
are registering sheep or include the
Membership Application and applicable fees when
you submit Applications For Registering. For Members who jointly own sheep, only one
signature is required for registering, recording, or transferring.

2. Fill out the
Application For Registering

3. Take the appropriate Photos: Photo requirements for sheep with both parents
registered in one of the divisions of UHHSA, Inc, or in another UHHSA recognized
Registry or a combination, sent through US Post Office or other non-electronic
methods: One photo of the sheep from Left Side and one photo from Right Side. Make
sure the sheep is easily seen and other sheep are not in photo. It is helpful if you are
registering an adult ram to include an additional front view photo of the head and horns
that enables the registrar to see the shape of the horns.  

United Horned Hair Sheep Association, Inc., reserves the right to request additional
photos showing horns, coat or other attributes of the sheep for which registration or
recording is requested.

4.  Have the Photos professionally processed OR
Print out the Photos on a personal printer using a good quality ink and on
PHOTOGRAPHIC PAPER. The proper size photograph is 4X6 or Wallet Size for
applications sent through US Post Office or other non-electronic methods.

We also accept applications and photos electronically.  Email Photos in original size to
uhhsa@yahoo.com  Please label each photo with the name of the sheep pictured.  
Number and views of photos are the same as when submitting thru non-electronic

5. Copy the fronts and backs of the Registration Certificates for BOTH parents from
another recognized registry.  If both parents are registered with UHHSA, Inc., copies of
Registration Certificates are not needed.  If only one parent is registered with UHHSA,
Inc., a copy of the front and back of the Registration Certificate for the sheep which is
not registered with UHHSA, Inc will be required.

6. Submit the appropriate fees made payable to United Horned Hair Sheep Association,
Inc.,
(click here for fee schedule) for each sheep with the Application For Registering,
the Photos, any necessary copies of the parent’s Registration Certificate and any other
information/pedigree known to:

REGISTER SHEEP WITH UHHSA which have been registered with another
registry representing the UHHSA breeds
- INCLUDES SOLID COLORED PAINTED
DESERT SHEEP WHICH ARE REGISTERED/HARDSHIPED IN ANOTHER REGISTRY:
Sheep registered/hardship/recorded with another UHHSA, Inc., recognized registry will
be fully accepted and able to be registered within UHHSA, Inc. if the breed standards
and registration requirements are met, unless this is changed and publicized by the
Board of Directors.  This includes sheep which are Registered/Hardshiped/Recorded as
Solid Painted Desert Sheep in other UHHSA recognized registries. These sheep will not
need to be inspected if a copy of registration papers are included with the UHHSA, Inc.
application.

PLEASE NOTE: The sheep’s original name will not be changed, only the Flock Name will
be replaced by a Flock Prefix which will be assigned to your flock by the registrar

3. Submit copies of the front and back of the Official Registration Certificate with the
photos still affixed to the Certificate.

4. If original Certificate is in error, submit a correct copy of pedigree (can be hand
written) and write a notation of what is in error and why.

5. Take one photo of the left side and one photo of the right side of the sheep. Make
sure the sheep is easily seen and other sheep are not in photo. It is helpful if you are
registering an adult ram to include an additional front view photo of the head and horns
that enables the registrar to see the shape of the horns.

Make sure the sheep is easily seen and other sheep are not in photo. It is helpful if you
are registering an adult ram to include an additional front view photo of the head and
horns that enables the registrar to see the shape of the horns.  Horns MUST be visible
on ALL rams, including ram lambs in at least one photo when one or both parents are
unregistered with UHHSA or another UHHSA recognized Registry.  Additional close up
photos of the face are welcomed.

RECORD SOLID COLORED PAINTED DESERT SHEEP with BOTH parents
Registered or with one parent Registered and the other parent Recorded

(UHHSA, INC or another recognized registry):   

1. Solid Colored is defined as sheep which are a solid color without the color white or
without the color white showing up in Registration Photos. The color white needs to be a
solid area of white which is not normally part of a pattern - such as the white saddle
spots of Mouflon and some Painted Desert Sheep. A Solid Colored Sheep is also a solid
white sheep with no other color present.  The solid colored sheep which are accepted
for Recording in the Painted Desert Sheep Registry of UHHSA, Inc., MUST have BOTH
parents Registered as Painted Desert Sheep with UHHSA, Inc., or a UHHSA, Inc.,
recognized registry for Painted Desert Sheep or have one parent Registered as a
Painted Desert and one parent Recorded as a Painted Desert.

SELLER: Give the Certificate of Breeding to the buyer, completed and accurately filled

BUYER: If a lamb(s) is born from the mating referenced in the Certificate of Breeding,

for the lamb(s) and the appropriate fees made payable to United Horned Hair Sheep,
Inc.,
